Faculty members and students particiapted in drug awareness programme held in Women's degree college in Karimnagar on Wednesday.
Karimnagar: An awareness programme on drug abuse and its harms was held in Women’s Government Degree College here on Wednesday.
Addressing the students, college Principal Prof D Varalakshmi said youngsters who were addicted to drugs were losing their precious lives besides causing serious problems to their families as well as the society. So, the youth should stay away from drugs, she advised.
Two-Town CI P Srilatha, who was the chief guest of the awareness programme, said that books were better than looks. She tried inspire the students by sharing her experiences, so that the students should not go for drugs.
Drug Prevention Committee Chairman Lakshman Rao, Assistant Professor Dr Mogili, and other faculty members participated in the programme.
