Drunk driver threatens Hyderabad traffic police with snake at Chandrayangutta

A drunk auto-rickshaw driver in Hyderabad allegedly threatened traffic police with a dead snake after his vehicle was seized during a drunk-driving check at Chandrayangutta. The accused fled the spot, and the incident video later went viral

Hyderabad: A tippler threatened traffic police with a snake after he was caught during a drunk driving checking at Chandrayangutta on the city in Saturday night.

According to the police, the man Irfan an auto rickshaw driver was stopped during drunken driving checking at Chandrayangutta.


During the breathe analyser test he tested positive for consumption of alcohol and the police detained his auto.

Irfan got angry and took out a snake from the auto rickshaw and reportedly threatened the traffic police demanding they release his auto.
“Irfan brought a dead snake and showed it to the traffic police officers and asked them to handover his vehicle. When our people tried to catch him, the man ran away from the place,” said a traffic police official.

The video of the incident was shared on social media platforms widely.
