Hyderabad: A case was registered by the Jubilee Hills police against a teenager, who was caught during a drunk driving check, and his cousin for cheating the Traffic Police by submitting wrong documents to show that he was 22 years old.
The youngster, originally 17 years old, is a student and native of Adilabad district and on November 7, was caught during checking at the Jubilee Hills check-post. His BAC level was above the permitted level, after which a chargesheet was filed and the court issued summons.
“The traffic police who went to Adilabad to issue summons asking him to appear before court came to know that he had submitted wrong documents. Following this, the Narayanguda traffic police lodged a complaint and a case was booked,” the Jubilee Hills police said.
During enquiry, police found that the teenager had submitted documents belonging to a relative of his, aged 22 years, and left. The case was registered under Section 419 and 420 of Indian Penal Code.
