Dy Speaker Padma Rao arranges Remdesivir free of cost for poor patients

He spoke to the company manufacturing the drug and requested it to supply the medicine for the needy patients

Hyderabad: Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao on Sunday made arrangements for supply of Remdesivir injections free of cost for Covid-19 patients under emergency services in Secunderabad Assembly constituency.

He spoke to the company manufacturing the drug and requested it to supply the medicine for the needy patients. Based on the doctors’ prescriptions, the injection would be supplied.

Padma Rao is spending money from his pocket for the medicine. He made arrangements to supply the injection at Srikara hospital in Secunderabad. Simultaneously, arrangements have also been made to supply oxygen cylinders free of cost to Covid patients.

During the lockdown last year, Padmao Rao distributed essential commodities worth Rs.1.25 crore to 11,000 families.
