Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar on Friday said Chief Minister K Chandrasekahar Rao, who achieved Statehood for Telangana putting his life at risk, was developing the State on all fronts, while BJP leader Eatala Rajender had neglected Huzurabad in the past 20 years.

Interacting with morning walkers in Huzurabad town, the Minister pointed out that the condition of roads, drinking water facility, sanitation and medical facilities in the town was in bad shape due to the negligence of Rajender and people had faced issues due to lack of community halls earlier. “When this was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister, he immediately instructed the authorities to develop the town on par with other towns in the State. Following the Chief Minister’s instructions, works on CC roads, drainages, drinking facilities and community hall for all castes were taken up at a cost of Rs 50 crore,” he said.

Kamalakar, who is camping in Huzurabad town, visited the High School ground in the morning, interacted with walkers and had tea with them. He also visited different areas of the town and interacted with owners of kiran stores, hair cutting saloons and roadside vendors.

To help the State government take up further developmental works, people should elect TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav in the by-poll on October 30, he said. The Chief Minister has already handed over the party’s B-form to Srinivas Yadav and various sections of society including caste organizations, auto unions and others are coming forward to pay the nomination deposit amount for Srinivas Yadav, he said.
