Huzurabad: TRS leader and former Minister E Peddireddy on Thursday said BJP candidate for Huzurabad Assembly constituency by-poll Eatala Rajender was trying to win the election using his illegally amassed money.
“Rajender won the election from the constituency with the support of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Now he is planning to win the polls by distributing money amassed illegally by him when he was in power,” Peddireddy told mediapersons here.
People of Huzurabad, however, are keenly watching the election stunts of Rajender, and they have decided to extending their support to Chandrashekhar Rao by electing TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav with a thumping majority, he said.
Various developmental works, which were not completed by Rajender even continuing in Finance Minister post, were completed within two months by the Finance Minister T Harish Rao. How Rajender, who failed to construct double bedroom houses in the constituency, would seek votes from the public, he questioned.
Reacting sharply to derogatory comments made against the Chief Minister and Harish Rao by the BJP leader, Peddireddy said TRS could also hit back in the same language but were refraining from doing so. “Rajender is making these comments our of frustration since he knows he is going to lose the election,” Peddireddy said.
SC Corporation Chairman Banda Srinivas, Municipal Chairperson Gande Radhika, former chairman Vadluri Brammachary, and Kolipaka Srinivas were present.
