Mohammed Ali Shabbir, an advisor to the State government, was the chief guest at the Independence Day celebrations in Adilabad. He hoisted the Tricolour to mark the occasion, accompanied by Collector Rajarshi Shah and Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam. Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, MLA Payal Shankar and several other officials were present.

Ali read out details of the beneficiaries who availed schemes such as Maha Laxmi, crop loan waivers and other initiatives introduced by the government. He said 23,075 new ration cards were issued to eligible beneficiaries in the district, while 4.33 lakh women benefited from subsidised LPG cylinders. He informed that 70.11 lakh farmers were credited with Rs. 6,000 per acre each under the Indiramma Raithu Bharosa scheme in Telangana. He added that 3,500 houses were sanctioned to the district under the Indiramma Housing scheme.
