Jagtial: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar on Thursday promised to develop the historic Kotilingala as a popular tourism spot and efforts are already under progress.
As part of the exercise, two boats, Shathakarni and Pulomavi, have been arranged at Kotilingala boating point at a cost of Rs 2 crore. A speed boat was also purchased and it is yet to reach the boating point.
The Minister along with TS Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Uppala Srinivas Gupta laid foundation for Haritha hotel at Stambampalli, Velgatur mandal on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Eashwar said that Haritha hotel would help the tourists to stay since Dharmapuri Laxminarsimha Swamy temple, Kotilingala temple and tourism spot were located in the area. Devotees and tourists were visiting these pilgrimage centers and tourism spot in a big way.
Later, he examined the design map of Haritha hotel. DCMS Chairman Yellala Srikanth Reddy, MPP Kunamalla Laxmi Lingaiah, sarpanch Swaroopa Rani, Agriculture Market Committee Chairman Yeleti Krishna Reddy and others participated in the programme.
