Hyderabad: Teams of the Hyderabad Police are raiding several places to nab three persons who went absconding after killing a businessman from the city at Sangareddy after kidnapping him four days ago from Charminar.
Madhusudhan Reddy, who ran a tiffin center at Karmanghat and was a native of Siddipet, was kidnapped on Thursday evening from Petlaburj in Charminar where he had gone to meet the prime suspect Sanjay to discuss some financial issues.
According to the police, he was murdered and the body buried at Kohir in Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district. His body was exhumed from an agriculture field by the police the next day.
One person, Jagannath, who is involved in the case, was nabbed by the police while the prime suspect Sanjay and two others who assisted him are absconding. The police maintained that the murder was due to financial disputes between Sanjay and Reddy. Sanjay had reportedly called up Reddy’s relatives and told them that he and Reddy were kidnapped by some unknown persons. The relatives rushed to Petlaburj and later approached the Charminar police on Thursday night and lodged a complaint. A missing case was registered by the police and efforts were on to trace Reddy. It was during the investigation that Jagannath was detained and when questioned, he told the police about the murder.
According to police sources, Reddy was allegedly involved in various cases including two murder cases in Siddipet and was detained under the PD Act by the Siddipet police. The suspects in the case were also allegedly involved in criminal cases. It is learned the suspects strangulated Reddy to death in the car after kidnapping him and later took the body to Zaheerabad where they buried the body.
