Eight tolas of gold, cash Rs 2.80 lakh stolen from former ZPTC member’s house in Asifabad

Unidentified persons allegedly broke into former ZPTC member Nereti Sathyanarayana’s house in Sirpur (T) and stole 8.5 tolas of gold, Rs 2.80 lakh cash and silver ornaments. Police registered a case, examined CCTV footage and formed special teams to nab the offenders

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Unidentified persons decamped with 8.5 tolas of gold, Rs 2.80 lakh in cash and silver ornaments from a former ZPTC member’s house in Sirpur (T) late on Sunday night.

Police said the miscreants stole gold, silver ornaments and cash stored inside an iron almirah in Nereti Sathyanarayana’s house by breaking open the doors when he was in Hyderabad. Sathyanarayana realised that the property was burgled after returning home. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered. Investigations have been taken up.
