A fire broke out after the battery of an electric scooter exploded in Balapalli of Jagtial mandal on Thursday.

Jagtial: A fire broke out after the battery of an electric scooter exploded in Balapalli of Jagtial mandal on Thursday.

A resident of the village, Bethi Thirupati Reddy, who purchased an electric scooter (TVS company) three months ago, had put the scooter for charging in his residence premises.

However, the battery exploded all of a sudden and flames spread in the area. While the bike was completely gutted in the fire, the door of the house was burnt partially.
