EME Sailing Association conducts cleanliness drive on Hussain Sagar
Popular Telugu film actor Sudheer Babu lent his support to the cleanliness drive and expressed happiness that such an awareness drive has been initiated by the EME Sailing Association, MCEME.
Hyderabad: As part of a long-term commitment towards cleanliness and ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, MCEME also conducted a Hussainsagar Lake cleaning and awareness drive.
Popular Telugu film actor Sudheer Babu lent his support to the cleanliness drive and expressed happiness that such an awareness drive has been initiated by the EME Sailing Association, MCEME. The drive served the purpose of raising awareness towards cleanliness and the need to preserve our ecosystem.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant General TSA Narayanan, AVSM, Commodore, EME Sailing Association and President, Laser Class Association of India inaugurated the National Judges’ and Measurers’ Clinic. In his inaugural address, Gen Narayanan insisted upon the need for professional conduct of the seminar and called upon the participants to learn and imbibe the nuances of these critical aspects of sailing.
The events will be conducted under the tutelage of Brigadier (Retd) GS Julka & Brigadier (Retd) Jagdish Singh (International Judges) and Ajit Diaz (International Measurer) who have a vast exposure and experience in this niche, professional and technical domain of sailing.
The National Clinic will be conducted over two days and will terminate on Thursday. It is a follow up of the National Laser Sailing coaching camp which was conducted by EMESA from August 1 to 11 under the Arjuna Awardee Rajesh Chaudhary, VSM. The Clinic is a precursor to the Hyderabad Sailing Week which is being conducted from August 13 to 20. The event will be inaugurated by the Governor of Telangana and Lt Governor of Puducherry, Tamilisai Soundararajan on Aug 13.
