Amaravati: The talks held by film personalities with Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy here on Thursday concluded on a satisfactory note and the ticket rates issue is as good as resolved, according to Actor Chiranjeevi.
He, along with other Tollywood luminaries Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli, Koratala Siva, Posani Krishna Murali, R. Narayana Murthy, Niranjan Reddy, Ali and others met the Chief Minister and interacted with him for over one hour in the morning.
Later, talking to media persons, Chiranjeevi said that the Chief Minister had responded to the issues favourably and arrived at a decision to benefit both the film industry and the common people. A GO was likely to be issued during the month end on this.
“The industry will prosper only when the small film producers and directors also do well. When we sought permission for the fifth show keeping this in view, the Chief Minister immediately accepted it. Today, Telugu films are earning laurels all over the country, thanks to big budget movies. Therefore, we sought special concessions for big budget films and the Chief Minister said he would discuss with the committee once again and take a decision,” he revealed.
The Mega Star also said that Jagan had wanted the film industry to develop in Andhra Pradesh on the lines of the Telangana state and would take the necessary measures towards it.
The Chief Minister had also promised to make Visakhapatnam city as a film hub and the film actors had assured him of the necessary cooperation on their part, he stated.
He also thanked Cinematography minister Perni Nani for taking special interest to organise the meeting.
