Hyderabad: The grueling questioning session of film actress Rakul Preet Singh at the office of Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Basheerbagh here on Friday mainly centered on parties that were organised regularly in F-Club from 2015 to 2017.

“Will the people attending parties in F-Club consume drugs? Who used to supply drugs? Did the 2017 drugs case kingpin supply drugs during the parties?” were some of the questions reportedly posed to the actress by the officials.

Though Rakul’s name did not figure in the 2017 drug racket busted by the Prohibition and Excise Department, the ED officials primarily focused on the activities of the kingpin and his associates during the parties in the club. They also tried to collect more details pertaining to suspicious transactions made with the kingpin, it is learnt.

The ED officials, who questioned Rakul for over six hours, tried to extract information from her about the kingpin and with whom he used to maintain contacts during the parties at the club. Since the ED officials sought her bank statements in the summons that were issued to Rakul a few days ago, she handed them over to the authorities.

Accompanied by her advocate and Chartered Accountant, Rakul arrived at the ED office around 9.15 am. Officials allowed her to leave the premises in the evening asking her that she must appear as and when summoned by them.

Of the 12 film personalities who got summons from the ED, she was the third person who attended the grilling. Popular film director Puri Jagannath and actress Charmee Kaur already appeared.

Rakul, who was supposed to appear on September 6, requested the ED to permit her to appear on another day. However, she appeared on Friday morning. This was the second time that Rakul appeared before the central investigating agencies.

A year ago, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) recorded her statement in connection with a drugs case related to the death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Film actor Rana Daggubati will appear before ED on September 8.
