Engineering student from Siddipet dies by suicide in Punjab
A final-year B.Tech student from Siddipet, studying at Lovely Professional University in Punjab, died by suicide after allegedly consuming poison.
Siddipet: A 24-year-old engineering student from Siddipet died by suicide after reportedly consuming poison at Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Phagwara, Punjab.
Barige Ajay, a resident of Chatlapalli village in Jagadevpur mandal, was a final-year B.Tech student at the university. According to his family, Ajay was the son of a farmer, Bikshapathi. Around four days ago, Bikshapathi received a call from Ajay’s friends informing him that Ajay had attempted suicide.

The family rushed to Phagwara, where Ajay was admitted to a local hospital. Despite receiving treatment for four days, he succumbed on Saturday night.
Ajay’s body was brought back to Chatlapalli on Sunday, where his funeral was conducted.
