Errabelli thanks CM KCR for releasing funds
The State govt released Rs. 1,432 cr for works under NREGS and Rs 1 crore per district for effective implementation of Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi programmes from July 1
Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for releasing Rs.1,432 crore under NREGS works. He also thanked the Chief Minister for releasing Rs 1 crore per district for effective implementation of Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi programmes from July 1 across the State.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the Minister said Telangana was ahead of others in implementation of NREGS works across the country. For the current financial year, under NREGS, 13 crore man-days have been set as target and nine crore man-days had already been recorded, he said.
While 17.5 lakh workers worked under NREGS last year, this season, 35.50 lakh workers are already working under the scheme, the Minister said, adding that in 450 mandals in 32 districts, NREGS works were being executed duly following Covid guidelines.
The Minister appealed to the workers to wear masks at work, besides regularly sanitizing their hands and maintaining physical distancing.
