ESCI offers PGDM programmes for graduates

The PGDM programmes are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. The programmes offer specialisation in Civil, Power, Telecom, Transportation, Finance, HRM, Marketing, Business Analytics and Operations Management

Hyderabad: Are you planning for higher education after completing bachelor’s degree? Here are some of the courses that you can explore. The Engineering Staff College of India, an organ of the Institution of Engineers (India), is offering two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme in Infrastructure Management, PGDM in General Management, and PGDM in Industrial Safety and Environment Management.

The PGDM programmes which are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education offer specialisation in Civil, Power, Telecom, Transportation, Finance, HRM, Marketing, Business Analytics and Operations Management.

According to the ESCI, these courses aim at students acquiring appropriate skills in the latest concepts of management, industry requirement and international standards to enter the global market. The programmes give a holistic perspective on business and provide an opportunity to interact with accomplished industry and academic experts.

The courses have been designed to keep pace with changing global trends, industry requirements and technology innovations etc. The methodology and tools of learning enables the student to achieve business excellence through innovative and managerial skills. ESCI alumni have successfully set up their own startups and built their brand in the market, the ESCI said.

Students with a bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology with a minimum of 50 per cent marks or equivalent on the Cumulative Grade Point Average grading system are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who qualified in the CAT/MAT/ATMA or any State level management aptitude test like ICET etc. The selection of candidates is based on the performance in the group discussion and personal interview which will be conducted by the ESCI.

According to the ESCI, 90 per cent of students have been placed in different corporate companies including Google, Cyient, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Tata, IBM, Wipro, Facebook, HCL etc. Students will be provided with the required support and placement assistance.

The admission process is underway and students can apply through the website http://esci.edu.in/. The last date to apply is June 15.
