ESC’s IndiaSoft 2021 to be held over three weeks virtually from March 9

Hyderabad: The yearly flagship event organised by Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), IndiaSoft, has seen about Rs 92 crore-worth of business activity conducted in 2020 edition and hopes to generate similar business this year. Being conducted virtually for the first time, IndiaSoft 2021 — an International IT exhibition and conferences – will be spread across three weeks period starting from March 9 onwards until March 31.
“Last year, the event generated 4,000-plus business enquiries and through our study we have found that Rs 92 crore of business was generated for the participating companies in the two days event. This time, the event is going to be virtual and it will be spread across three weeks so as to accommodate interactions and sessions for companies from various countries and continents. About 50 startups have confirmed their participation along with 400 confirmations of companies from countries like Korea, Japan, the US, the UK, Israel and Singapore among others,” said Nalin Kohli, chairman, IndiaSoft.
Explaining the scope of the investment meet, which will be held coinciding with IndiaSoft event, Gurmeet Singh, executive director, ESC said that it would focus on attracting investments into the India’s digital economy from various corners of the world to strengthen India’s digital backbone.
Speaking about the IT industry in the country, STPI-Hyderabad director CVD Ramprasad said, “Hyderabad has hosted the event thrice and it was the last international conference to be organised in the city in the pre-Covid times. In the new world, organisations are relooking at their businesses and technology has played a vital role during the pandemic. IT industry has maintained productivity in the last one year and Hyderabad with its pharma companies and startups is making new waves in the country.”
