Eshwar Sai bags ‘double’ in Hyderabad Open Tennis Association tournament

Hyderabad: Eshwar Sai completed a ‘double’ in the 35 years & above category, winning the singles and doubles title (partnering Visakh) in the Hyderabad Open Tennis Association tournament at Jubilee Hills International Centre here.
In the men’s 55-plus doubles category, the pair of Nandyala Narasimha Reddy (Telangana) and Neelkantha Damre (Goa) emerged victorious. In the 55-plus singles category, IPS officer CV Anand defeated Neelkantha Damre 6-2, 6-3 to become the champion. In the final held at the Jubilee Hills International Centre, Narasimha Reddy and Neelakanth defeated Lagadapati Sridhar and Srinath 6-4, 6-7, 13-11 in a thrilling three-set battle to win the title.

In the singles categories, Suryapavan (30 plus), Madhu Rao (40 plus), Srikanth Nimmagadda (45 plus), Sridhar Reddy (50 plus), Paul Manohar (60 plus), P Ram Reddy (65 plus), Venkata Sanyasi Raju (70 plus), and Rama Mohan Rao (75 plus) emerged as the winners.
In the doubles category, the following pairs won the titles: Parvatheesham and Ram Prabhakar (75 plus), Venkata Sanyasi Raju and Gajapathi Naidu (70 plus), Anand Swaroop and Srinivas (65 plus), PVRLN Raju and Venkateswarlu (60 plus), Venkata Sivakumar Raju and Zakir Hussain (50 plus), Sandeep and Venkata Sivakumar Raju Mantena (45 plus), Nikhil Rao and Raghavendra Prasad (40 plus), Nikhil Rao and Rohit (30 plus).
Hyderabad Open Tennis Association (HOTA) President Nandyala Narasimha Reddy, IPL Officer PV Padmaja, Urbanrise Executive Director Rajendra Desai, Jubilee Hills International Centre Secretary Jaggarao, and Sports Convener Suresh Reddy gave away the prizes.
