Hyderabad: While technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Data Analytics and Digital Marketing are gaining ground among enterprises, academic institutions still have some catching up to do. A few engineering colleges are offering specialised courses in these areas, but one Hyderabad institute is offering these courses for management and commerce graduates.

EThames College of Business is starting its first batch of courses wherein along with the regular degree courses like BCom and BBA, students are given the option of pursuing certification courses in AI, data analytics, blockchain, digital marketing and Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI). These certification courses are being offered in partnership with Coursera wherein faculty from the EThames will guide students in choosing and enrolling for these courses.

“This specialisation is being offered in addition to the Osmania University syllabus prescribed for regular BCom and BBA courses. We are combing management and technology subjects so as to make students industry-ready in the new age. This is the first batch of the students that will start with these specialised courses and we will also ensuring placements,” said Kali Prasad, chairman, EThames College of Business.

The application process for the courses have already started and the college will have 60 students per course and is offering BBA with online commerce and digital marketing as specialisation, BCom with computers and data analytics, BBA with AI and data science, BBA with BFSI and BCom and BBA with blockchain and fintech as specialisations.
