EVangelise to encourage innovation in e-vehicles
EVangelise targets startups, college students, research institutions, independent innovators and EV enthusiasts, with innovations in sub-components used in 2W and 3W electric vehicles.
Hyderabad: International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology (iCreate), a Gujarat government supported startup incubator, has launched EVangelise, a challenge aimed at identifying innovators in the electric vehicle sub-components segment.
Planned in three stages over seven months, EVangelise targets startups, college students, research institutions, independent innovators and EV enthusiasts, with innovations in sub-components used in 2W and 3W electric vehicles.
EVangelise has been conceptualised to accelerate adoption of electric vehicles, said Anupam Jalote, CEO, iCreate. It is designed to cover electric powertrain, battery, BMS and hybrid energy storage systems, regenerative braking systems and intelligent vehicle management systems.
Participants can submit across idea, design, and build stages. Prototypes will undergo testing and validation at iCreate labs. About 18 shortlisted finalists move on to the Innovation Showcase to be held next year. All finalists are assured Rs 3 lakh cash prize each, along with support from iCreate in terms of mentoring, rapid prototyping facilities, and opportunity to get a suitable grant, a release said.
