Evening storms to bring much needed respite to Hyderabad and districts

Hyderabad: People in Hyderabad and districts of Telangana can expect respite from the dry heatwave conditions by the latter half of Tuesday. By evening, parts of Hyderabad are likely to receive isolated thundershowers, lightning and gusty winds, which should help lower the peak daytime temperatures.
On Tuesday morning, the IMD, Hyderabad on Tuesday issued an orange alert (intense thunderstorms) accompanied with lightning, gusty winds (40-50 kmph) and hailstorm at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Sangareddy and Kamareddy districts.
A yellow alert of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) has been issued to Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak,
Nizamabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
All through Tuesday, Hyderabad and its surrounding areas will experience maximum temperatures ranging between 36 degree Celsius and 40 degree Celsius. However, by evening, things definitely are expected to cool-down, due to the likelihood of severe thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.
Based on IMD, Hyderabad weather forecast, a similar weather pattern, a combination of high temperatures all through the day, followed by thunderstorms and lightning in the later half of the day, are expected to continue till next Monday, April 27, 2026.
