Hyderabad: Former Andhra Ranji cricketer Satyadev passed away in Kakinada on Saturday night. He was 84.
Satyadev played for Andhra between 1964 and 1969, including 16 Ranji Trophy matches, scoring 503 runs with a career-best score of 108.
The former cricketer worked at State Bank of India and, even after retirement from the game, continued to serve the sport in different capacities in the Andhra Cricket Association.
ACA President Kesineni Sivanath, ACA Secretary Sana Satheesh Babu, and former cricketers VS Patel, Jugal Kishore Ghia, and H Ram Prasad were among those who expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.
Satyadev had strong connections with Hyderabad cricket, having played extensively in the city.
