Excise constable, nephew held for peddling seized marijuana in Shadnagar

Shadnagar police arrested excise constable Ghulam Sultan Ahmed and his nephew Amjed for allegedly peddling seized marijuana. Sultan Ahmed reportedly stole the contraband from the Tandur excise station, and gave it to Amjed to sell for profit. Both are now in custody.

Hyderabad: The Shadnagar police arrested an excise department constable and his nephew for alleged drug peddling on Friday.

According to the police, Ghulam Sultan Ahmed, an excise constable of Tandur excise police station had fraudulently stolen the marijuana which was seized and kept at the police station and gave it to his nephew Amjed to sell it and make easy money.

Recently, the Shadnagar police arrested Amjed and seized marijuana worth Rs 70,000. Following his confession, Sultan Ahmed was arrested.
