Shadnagar Police conducted a Flag March in four villages of Farooqnagar Mandal ahead of Gram Panchayat elections to ensure peaceful polling. Officers engaged with residents, reviewed critical locations, and encouraged reporting of suspicious activity, demonstrating election-focused preparedness.
Shadnagar police arrested excise constable Ghulam Sultan Ahmed and his nephew Amjed for allegedly peddling seized marijuana. Sultan Ahmed reportedly stole the contraband from the Tandur excise station, and gave it to Amjed to sell for profit. Both are now in custody.
The police reported that Yadaiah, a construction worker, and his wife Mounika, who lived in Farooqnagar, Shadnagar, had been married for about eight years. The couple frequently argued over minor issues, and Yadaiah developed an alcohol addiction. During this time, Mounika grew closer to Ashok Kumar, a worker in a manufacturing unit, and eventually began an affair with him.
In the early hours of Friday, local residents discovered a damaged Shiva Lingam at a temple in Vivekananda Colony, Janampeta, Shadnagar, and promptly informed the police. A complaint was filed at the Shadnagar police station, after which police officials inspected the temple and collected evidence.
Sunita, who stays at Ambedkar colony in Shadnagar, was reportedly brought to the police station in connection with a case of theft of gold and cash stolen from a house on July 24.
Two persons, who had killed two men by hitting their motorcycle with a car and later allegedly tried to portray it as a road crash, were arrested by the Shadnagar police on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
