Excise department seizes 2 kg ganja in twin raids across Malkajgiri, Patancheru
The Prohibition and Excise Department arrested two persons during separate operations in Malkajgiri and Patancheru, seizing 2 kg of dry ganja. Two more suspects have been booked and remain absconding, while officials continue their investigation into both narcotics cases.

HYDERABAD: The Prohibition and Excise Department on Tuesday conducted two separate operations in Malkajgiri and Patancheru and nabbed two persons. A total of 2 kg dry ganja was seized while efforts are on to nab two other individuals who are absconding.
In the first operation, the sleuths, acting on credible information, apprehended Kaliwala Mallesh (20), a resident of Paradhi Basthi, Fatehnagar, Ranga Reddy district, for allegedly possessing and selling ganja. The team seized 780 grams of dry ganja from his possession.
During interrogation, Mallesh allegedly revealed the involvement of a woman, Rashi, and Vukhandre Vinod, both residents of Chatrapati Shivajinagar, Erragadda. Both were booked in the case and are currently absconding.
In another operation, the sleuths apprehended Rajesh Kumar (20), who was allegedly involved in selling ganja at Patancheru. Officials seized 1.15 kg of dry ganja from his possession. The accused and the seized contraband were handed over to the Patancheru Excise Station for further legal action.
Further investigation is underway in both cases.
