Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to expedite land acquisition for the Musi Rejuvenation project and emphasised that a policy for land pooling should be formulated.

The policy should also focus on land acquisition falling under FTL (Full Tank Level), buffer zones and assigned land categories, he said.

These instructions were issued at a review meeting of the Musi project held at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion here on Tuesday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister enquired with the officials about the status of land acquisition for the Musi project.

He warned that legal complications should be avoided during land acquisition. The officials were also instructed to invite tenders for Phase 2 of the Musi Project at the earliest. The Municipal Commissioners should focus more on securing low-interest loans for the projects and also review TDRs (Transferable Development Rights) every week, he said.

Tenders for the Manchirevula Omkareshwara Swamy Temple and publicity for the Kothwalguda Bird Park were also discussed at the meeting.
