Siddipet: The Telangana State Police Housing Board (TSPHB) Chairman Koleti Damodar Guptha, who inspected the progress of Siddipet Police Commissionerate works on Thursday, instructed the contractor and engineers to complete the works of the new building by the end of November. Guptha said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be incited to inaugurate the Commissionerate once the work is completed.
The Chairman, accompanied by TSPHB Managing Directior Sanjay Kumar Jain, Chief Engineer Vijay Kumar and other officials inspected the building and approach road works and went through the three-storeyed building.
Asking the officials and contractors concerned to expedite the works, the Chairman instructed that electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, installation of doors, fans and air-conditioners should be completed soon.
Guptha said the construction of the Commissionerate was taken up in 20 acre of spacious land with constructed area of 60,000 sqft at a cost of Rs 15 crore using modern technology.
Stating that the Chief Minister was extending all support to the Police department to create the best infrastructure facilities, he said Telangana Police will compete with Scotland Yard known for their efficiency in cracking crimes.
To improve the mobility of police, the department has been provided Innova cars. The Command and Control Room, which is being built as a twin towers in Banjara Hills, will be the headquarters of Telangana Police, Guptha said, adding that the CCR will have ultra modern technology that will improve the efficiency of the police in the State. He said all the CCTV cameras in Telangana will be integrated with the CCR.
“Successive government in undivided Andhra Pradesh did not concentrate on providing better infrastructure facilities in Telangana, and most of the buildings were constructed during the Nizam era that were in dilapidated condition now,” he said.
The Chairman said the TRS government had taken up construction of SP offices in 14 new district headquarters, DSP offices, police stations and other structures.
Superintending Engineer Tulasidhar Reddy, DE Rajaiah, Project Manager Sandeep Reddy and others were present.
