Hanamkonda: Police busted a fake certificates racket and apprehended 12 persons here on Tuesday.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Dr Tarun Joshi addressing a press conference here on Tuesday said based on information regarding creation of fake engineering, graduation certificates of different universities, Task Force sleuths along with KU campus, Hanamkonda and Subedari police carried out an operation and apprehended the culprits.


The arrested persons were identified as Arun Dara, a computer expert, Srikanth Reddy Madati of AEES Global Consultancy, Ravi Avinash, Arandula Mahesh of Crystal Overseas Consultancy, Hanamkonda, Mirza Akther Ali Baig, Madisetty Sachin of SB Overseas, Chedarla Saloni, Pogula Sudhakar Reddy of World Linx Overseas Pvt. Ltd., Madadi Swathi, Counsellor at World Linx Overseas, Baloju Srinath, employee of Global Consultancy, Nalla Pranay and Amabti Uttam Kiran.

They were creating fake certificates of different universities such as Kakatiya University, Andhra University and Acharya Nagarjuna University of AP, Magadh University of Bihar, VMRF Deemed University of Tamil Nadu, Bundelkhand University of UP, Karnataka State Open University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health, Karnataka, Bangalore University, (TN), Anna University, Bangalore University and Sathyabama University and also editing of marks memos of the students to enhance the marks.

Cases have been registered at KU campus, Hanamkonda and Subedari police stations under IPC Sections 417, 420, 468, 471, read with 34 IPC, 66D ITA Act – 2008 and 474 based on the complaint of Professor Malla Reddy of Kakatiya University, Dr Joshi informed.

Srinivas Yadav Kasa, Krishna Kundarapu and Narishetti Surender were absconding and a manhunt was on to nab them. As many as 62 students have been identified who used the fake created by the gang operating the racket and staying abroad now.

Police seized six laptops, one iPad, 12 mobile phones, two printers, one lamination machine, five CPUs, 10 lamination glass papers, 25 fake rubber stamps, 212 fake certificates and other material from the accused.
