Farm labourer dies in road accident in Telangana’s Peddapalli

PEDDAPALLI: A farm labourer Dasari Kanakamma (55) died and other injured in a road accident that took place at Venkatraopalli of Tekumatla mandal on Monday.

According to local people, natives of Metpalli of Kalvasrirampur mandal, farm labourers went to Venkatraopalli to work in agricultural fields and met with an accident while returning to their native village.

Driver of the harvester, which was moving in front of their autorickshaw, drove the vehicle in the reverse direction as a TSRTC bus coming from the opposite direction.

Notice it, labourers got down from autorickshaw and ran away. However, two of them were run over by harvester. As a result, Kanakamma was died on the spot while Vasantha sustained serious injuries.

Harvester driver escaped from the spot.

Knowing about the incident, police visited the spot and began investigation by registering the case. Body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
