Medak: A farmer allegedly committed suicide at Vadi village in Havelighanpur mandal, accusing his relatives of blocking the pathway leading to his house.

The deceased was identified as Gudipally Subhash Reddy (44). Police said Subhash consumed pesticide, unable to bear the alleged harassment from the rival family. Despite repeatedly approaching officials, he claimed no action was taken to resolve the issue.

Before attempting suicide on October 3, Subhash recorded an audio message requesting that his funeral procession be taken through the disputed path and urging officials to open the route for his family permanently. He succumbed while undergoing treatment in hospital on Wednesday morning.

In the message, Subhash named Gudipally Jeevan Reddy, his wife Vinoda, their son Rajesh, and Jeevan’s brothers, alleging they harassed him by blocking the way. He appealed to officials to take stern action against them.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
