Farmer ends life after killing wife in Sircilla
Local residents reported that Mudam Venkatesham (40), a resident of Shanthinagar in Sircilla town, took his wife Bolla Vasantha (35) to his paddy fields behind the nursing college, where he killed her before consuming pesticide and ending his own life. Initially, locals believed the couple had committed suicide by ingesting pesticides. However, suspicions of murder arose when blood was found at the scene.

According to local people, a resident of Shanthinagar in Sircilla town, Mudam Venkatesham (40) took his wife Bolla Vasantha (35) to his paddy fields located behind the nursing college. There he killed her and then consumed pesticide and ended his life. Local people, initially, thought that the couple committed suicide by consuming pesticides. However, they started suspecting the murder angle after noticing blood on the spot.
Local people said Venkatesham, who used to suspect the character of his wife, killed her. Vasantha used to work in an Aadhar centre. Not interested in her working, Venkatesham used to force her to resign from the job. As she refused to do so, he killed her, locals said.
The couple had two children, daughter Varshini and Ajith. While Varshini was an intermediate second year student, Ajith was in Class X.
