Medak: Farmers took to the roads at Gavvalapally junction in Chinna Shankarampet mandal on Tuesday after being unable to access the fertiliser booking app to purchase urea. Despite making several attempts, the farmers failed to book urea, following which they blocked traffic on the Medak–Chegunta road.
The road blockade brought traffic to a standstill, prompting officials to intervene. Agriculture Officer Praveen Kumar, SI Narayan Goud and other officials rushed to the spot and convinced the farmers to withdraw the protest.
The Agriculture Officer assured the farmers that he would take up the issue with higher authorities and ensure that the problem is resolved at the earliest.
