Farmers gift urea bag to fellow farmer on birthday to protest fertiliser shortage
In Satrajupalli village, Rajanna-Sircilla district, farmers staged a unique protest on Friday by gifting a urea bag to Maru Kishan Reddy, a fellow farmer, on his birthday. This gesture aimed to highlight the ongoing fertiliser shortage in Telangana.
Rajanna-Sircilla: In a unique form of protest, farmers presented a urea bag as a birthday gift to a fellow farmer in Satrajupalli village of Vemulawada mandal on Friday.
The farmer, Maru Kishan Reddy, was celebrating his birthday when other farmers and friends gifted him a urea bag to highlight the fertiliser shortage in the state.
They said the gift symbolised the scarcity, as currently only one bag of urea is being allotted to each farmer due to the ongoing shortfall.
