Hyderabad: You might have enjoyed a delicious Tiramisu infused with black coffee but have you ever come across the same Italian dessert with South India filter coffee?
Yes, that delicious fusion and more, make up for the new menu of Farzi Cafe. Known for serving various Indian foods with their own continental twist, the restaurant has now come up with a new menu with specific focus on South Indian cuisine.
Blending together foods from various parts of South India, the chefs at the restaurant have come up with unique dishes such as Andhra Chilli Chicken with Karnataka style Thatte Idli, Sabudana Pongal with Ghee Roast Paneer, Kerala style Pothichoru Biryani with a Hyderabadi touch to it and many more.
“Farzi means illusion in Persian and over the last seven years, all the branches of the restaurant, including the ones abroad have been consistently delivering different ‘illusions’ of food,” says Aman Chainani, partner, Farzi Cafe.
He adds, “We ensure different cuisines come together to give our patrons a great dining experience. The twists that we give to food are a result of constant experimentation while incorporating our patrons’ feedback. For instance, the new menu that we launched has been crafted by our South India head chef Surya, to suit the palatte of patrons in Hyderabad.”
The restaurant located in Jubilee Hills, has a very modernist decor, with a touch of old school with its wooden chairs. That with the eco-friendly decor with many many plants about the place make up for a very cozy, soothing dining experience.
One can choose from a wide range of drinks and appetisers to start the meal and as Chainani says, everything comes with a twist. Their aesthetic way of presenting will ensure you grab your phone to post the dish on Instagram before you taste it. Of all of the restaurant’s branches in India, this one at Jubilee Hills is the biggest, with 18,000 sqft of space spread over three indoor and outdoor levels.
The drinks served at the place are also with a twist, like the Aam Panna cocktail which is served with Tequilla or Vodka. The new menu also includes an interesting cocktail called GGG – Gin Ginger Grape.
