Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Cybercrime police have registered two separate cases after a father and daughter were duped in an online investment scam.

In the first case, a man working for the TGSRTC had invested Rs 1.3 lakh in a fraudulent app called LF Work, which initially showed returns but later blocked withdrawals.

In the second case, his daughter invested Rs 86,220 in the same app and suffered a similar loss. Both later realised that the platform was fake and filed complaints.

Investigations are underway. Authorities have advised citizens to be cautious while using online investment platforms.
