Adilabad: A gang comprising a father and son involved in duping the public by forging government certificates and stamps was busted, with the police arresting one person here on Saturday. Empty documents, fake stamps, a computer and a hard disk were seized from him. Another accused is absconding.
Briefing the media, Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said that Ladvi Badrinath was apprehended for manufacturing fake birth, community and residence certificates to cheat the public. His son, Rahul Kumar, who is also involved in the racket, is still at large.
During interrogation, Badrinath confessed to forging certificates from various government departments, including Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Municipal, Police, and Registrations, to make quick money.
Mahajan commended Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy, CCI Inspector B Chandrashekhar, and Adilabad I Town Inspector B Sunil Kumar for busting the racket.
