The Cyberabad Economic Offences Wing (EOW) booked a case against Bhujanaga Rao following accusations of his involvement in aiding several individuals in the fabrication of documents related to a 340-acre property in Kukatpally.

The case was registered after an official of CMRF wing of Revenue Department of the State government made a complaint.

The suspects in the case were identified as Ubaid Bin Mohammed, Shaik Rauf Pasha, Rathakanth Sainath, Mohd. Abid, Shaik Amid and Banoth Bheem Singh.

The arrested officials are Mohd Khabirullah Khan (town planning section), N Krishna Mohan (Deputy City Planner), K Srinivas Reddy (Deputy Inspector of Survey – Land Acquisition) and A Deepak Kumar (Surveyor – Land Acquisition), all working with GHMC.

The Ghansoli resident had obtained the loan in February this year and a verification of the documents he submitted revealed these were forged, the CBD Belapur police station official said.
