Shahjahanpur (UP): A 65-year-old man and his son were electrocuted to death while installing an electric fencing system around their field to protect their crop from stray cattle here on Thursday, police said.
Circle Officer (Sadar) Shubham Verma said Shyama Charan Verma and his son Sumit Verma, 28, residents of Indepur village, while installing the fencing system around their field in the Kant police station area came in contact with electricity allegedly transmitted from a nearby power pole and suffered fatal electric shocks. Both father and son died on the spot, he said.
On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and conducted an inspection. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, the officer said.
