The movie FCUK has successfully grabbed lot of attention, thanks to its name. Producer KL Damodhar Prasad has taken a gamble with the risque name, but he is confident that audiences will look beyond the title. The Vidyasagar Raju directorial has Ram Kaarthik and Ammu Abhirami portraying a romantic couple and child actor Sahasritha in a key role.
“I knew that a single letter would change the entire meaning. The full form is actually ‘Father-Chitti-Uma-Karthik’, but since it’s a lengthy name, we are using its acronym FCUK,” said producer KL Damodhar Prasad who bankrolled the movie under Sri Ranjith Movies banner.
“The story of this film is told through four main characters where Jagapathibabu is playing the role of Phani. The characters of the three generations, and the difficulties caused by the generation gap are shown in a comic way. The whole movie is hilarious,” said Vidyasagar Raju, director.
Although he admitted that casting a toddler was a difficult task. “It’s hard, but not impossible. I have to thank Jagapathi Babu sir for being so patient with us when we had to shoot scenes with the baby. Usually, children do not wake up immediately when they fall asleep. But small sounds would disturb her frequently and we had to take extra care to shoot the film,” added Vidyasagar. The film was apparently given an ‘A’ certificate.
