Karimnagar: To promote swadeshi products and protect the environment, a programme called Feria Fiesta 2 – Swadeshi Utsav (Campus Eco Bazaar for Swadeshi Diwali) will be conducted at the Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Karimnagar, on October 17.

The poster for the event was formally released by the Vice-Chancellor of Satavahana University, Prof U Umesh Kumar, at the university on Monday. The initiative aims to encourage the use of eco-friendly and indigenous products while raising awareness about sustainable living. The Eco Bazaar not only promotes the idea of a green and pollution-free Diwali but also provides a platform for students and local entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial potential.

As part of the Campus Eco Bazaar, college students, faculty members, self-help groups, local vendors, and budding entrepreneurs will set up various stalls to display and sell an array of environment-friendly items, including clay lamps, natural colors, biodegradable decorative materials, jute and cotton bags, herbal oils, traditional spices, homemade snacks, health drinks, and handicrafts.

College Principal Prof D Varalaxmi also spoke.
