Fever survey covers 48,797 households in GHMC limits

Hyderabad: As part of the ongoing fever survey, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) covered 48,797 households within its limits on Saturday.

A total of 704 teams comprising field-level workers from GHMC and the Health Department have been engaged with the survey and the teams referred about 18,089 persons with fever symptoms to Basthi Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) for undergoing Covid tests.

Meanwhile, the GHMC Covid Control Room on Saturday received 145 calls seeking information on various issues related to Covid-19 and also on measures being taken to contain the pandemic.

The callers received assistance over the phone by dialing 040- 241111111, the civic body’s helpline number. While the health-related queries were answered by doctors, general information pertaining to hospitals and vaccination centres was provided by GHMC staffers.
