Hyderabad: FICCI FLO Hyderabad marked a milestone with the graduation of nearly 1,000 women and girls trained under its skilling initiative ‘Skill Her’ at the FLO Skill Centre in Bhongir on Saturday.
The initiative focused on equipping grassroots women with practical, income-generating skills aligned with local demand. The graduating batches included training in tailoring, Maggam embroidery beautician course, and Mehendi design.
In addition, 255 women were provided hands-on training in wedding-related services and crafts. This enabled participants to earn sustainable incomes during the peak marriage season and support their families.
The atmosphere at the ceremony was one of pride and joy as graduates received their certificates—many for the first time in their lives. Several participants shared personal stories of transformation, speaking about launching home-based enterprises, contributing to household income, and discovering confidence through their newly acquired skills.
FLO Hyderabad chairperson Prathibha Kunda said when a woman learns a skill, she does not just change her life, but she transforms her family’s future and uplifts her community. Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Collector M Hanumantha Rao and SP Akshansh Yadav, among others, also participated in the event.
