Hyderabad: Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) has directed TSDiscoms — Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) and Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) — to file proposed tariffs within seven days. The period of 120 days will be reckoned with on and from the date of filing the proposed tariffs only, said TSERC Secretary in a letter to the Chairman and Managing Directors of TSSPDCL and NPDCL.
The commission has already received the proposed Aggregate Revenue Requirement (ARR) for the financial year 2022-23 from the two discoms. The ARR filings pertained to operational and financial performance, sales forecast, load forecast, power procurement plan for the ensuing financial year, expenditure and revenue projections including revenue from cross subsidy and additional surcharge, estimated cost of service for various consumer categories and revenue gap. The commission, however, observed that the ARR filings were not accompanied with Filings of Tariff Proposals (FPT) as per the provisions of the regulation.
