Final year engineering student dies by suicide in Warangal

B Tech final-year student Vamsi Varma from Peddapalli district was found dead in his rented room in Mamnoor, allegedly by suicide. Police have registered a case and are investigating, while the reasons behind his death remain unclear

Warangal: An engineering student died, allegedly by suicide, in the district late on Monday.

The student, Vamsi Varma, was studying B Tech final year at Vaagdevi Engineering College in Bollikunta in the city. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his rented room at Mamnoor. He hailed from Peddapalli district.


He had reportedly gone home for the New Year celebrations and returned to college two days ago. The local police booked a case in connection with the incident and are investigating. The reasons behind his extreme step were not known immediately.
