Hyderabad: Global superstars always make news for being spotted on several occasions. Well, this upcoming Netflix thriller gives a completely opposite view to that – a global superstar called Anamika Anand goes missing. And guess what? A carefully created web of lies spreads like wildfire in the wake of her disappearance.
The first look of actor Madhuri Dixit as Anamika Anand was released at Tudum, the global fan event hosted by Netflix. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, it has been directed by Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar.
Now, taking to Twitter, actor Madhuri Dixit has shared a short promo of ‘Finding Anamika’ where the actor is seen dolled up in a beautiful red dress while making a red-carpet appearance. As she walks out, Anamika Anand is seen wearing all smiles while being continuously clicked by the reporters around.
In the background, answering a reporter’s question about what it is like being Anamika Anand, the actor responds saying, “It’s nice. Honestly, even after all these years I still can’t believe it’s true. This life. I feel very blessed. Touch wood. Kisi ki nazar naa lage (May nobody cast an evil eye).”
According to the Netflix brief, ‘Finding Anamika’ revolves around a global superstar who suddenly disappears. As police and loved ones search for answers to her disappearance, her perfectly crafted facade is stripped away, revealing hidden truths and painful lies in the life of an iconic actor.
The Netflix thriller will also see Sanjay Kapoor reunite with Madhuri on-screen after almost two decades. Madhuri and Sanjay last shared the screen in 1997’s ‘Mohabbat’. The two are remembered for their chemistry in the ’90s hit ‘Raja’.
The series also features Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jafari, and Suhasini Muley as part of the cast.
