Khammam: An incident of police registering an FIR against a Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) at VM Banjar police station in Penuballi mandal in the district came to light late. The SI, T Nagaraju was booked under Sections 447 (Criminal trespass) and 167 (Public servant framing an incorrect document with intent to cause injury) along with four others, Nannaka Satyanarayana, Basavaiah, Rukminamma and Naresh, all members of a family.
The first information report (FIR) was registered on Nov 2 following the orders issued by Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Sathupalli. The orders were issued based on a petition by the complainant, Telluri Thirumal Rao, an advocate by profession. According to the complainant, the accused Satyanarayana and his family members tried to encroach a piece of 423 sq yards land he owned at Mandalapadu village in Penuballi mandal on Jan 29 under the limits of VM Banjar police station.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Thirumal Rao said the SI failed to take action on a complaint he lodged against Satyanarayana and others. In addition to that the SI supported the accused in erecting a fence around the land in a bi to encroach it on Jan 30. “As the police were helping the accused, I approached the court. Even after FIR was registered against the SI and other accused no action was taken against them so far. They were issuing threats to me through their middlemen”, the complainant alleged.
