Hyderabad: Fire broke out at Minerva Grand Hotel at Himayatnagar in the city on Sunday evening. No casualties were reported.
According to the fire officials, the fire broke out in the kitchen in the hotel and on information, the fire tenders from nearby fire station reached the spot. The fire was controlled quickly, said the officials.
Panic prevailed for a while after the fire broke out with customers rushing out of the building. The traffic on the busy road came to a standstill due to the huge crowd that gathered in front of the building.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
