Jangaon: A fire broke out inside the Canara Bank locker room following an electric short circuit at Balaji Nagar in Jangaon town late on Thursday night.
The bank security staff, who noticed smoke coming from inside the bank, alerted the fire department. Fire personnel arrived at the scene and doused the fire. A few documents were said to have been damaged in the fire.
The bank officials launched a probe into the cause of the fire and are assessing the damage caused.
