Fire destroys lakhs worth of goods at Attapur apparel shop
Police reported that the fire broke out at an apparel shop on Attapur Road in the afternoon. Workers initially tried to move consignments out of the shop but fled upon realizing the intensity of the flames. Within minutes, the property was completely reduced to ashes.
Hyderabad: Property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted down in a fire incident at Attapur in the city on Wednesday.
According to the police, the fire broke out the apparel shop located on Attapur road around afternoon. On noticing it the workers at the shop tried to shift the consignments out of the shop. However, noticing the ferocity of the flames, the workers ran away. The property was reduced to ashes within a few minutes.
On being alerted, the fire tenders from nearby fire stations rushed to the spot and started the fire fighting operation. At least, three fire tenders controlled the blaze after a nearly one hour operation.
Officials suspect the fire broke out due to short circuit. However, the exact cause of the fire is being ascertained.
